1. Agreement
By creating an account, accessing SMTPBox or using its SMTP, dashboard or API services, you agree to these terms. If you use SMTPBox for an organisation, you confirm you can accept them for that organisation.
2. The service
SMTPBox is a hosted email testing sandbox. It accepts test messages, makes them available for inspection and automation, and prevents sandbox messages from reaching their original recipients. It is not a production delivery service, bulk sender or permanent archive.
3. Accounts and access
You must provide accurate account information and keep login details, SMTP credentials and API keys secure. You are responsible for account activity and for promptly removing access that is no longer required. Tell us if you believe an account or credential has been compromised.
4. Acceptable use
You may use SMTPBox for lawful development, testing and quality assurance. You must not:
- send production, marketing, unsolicited or bulk email;
- upload content you do not have the right to process;
- access another customer's account, messages or systems;
- probe or disrupt the service without express authorisation;
- bypass usage limits or security controls; or
- use the service for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive or harmful activity.
5. Plans, billing and fair use
Plan features, allowances, retention and prices are those shown when you subscribe. Paid plans renew until cancelled. Required taxes may be added. “Unlimited” is for normal development and testing and remains subject to reasonable fair-use, technical and anti-abuse limits.
You may cancel before the next renewal. Paid access continues to the end of the current period unless stated otherwise. Except where law requires, fees already paid are non-refundable.
6. Your content
You retain ownership of content you submit. You permit us to host, process and display it as needed to operate, secure and support SMTPBox. You are responsible for choosing suitable test data and should use synthetic data where possible.
7. Availability and changes
We aim for reliability but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. We may change or suspend features to maintain security, comply with law or improve the service. Where practical, we will give reasonable notice of material adverse changes.
8. Suspension and termination
We may limit access for security risks, prohibited use, non-payment or material breach. You may stop using SMTPBox at any time. Data may be deleted when an account closes or its retention period ends.
9. Warranties and liability
SMTPBox is provided on an “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties not stated here. Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, we are not responsible for indirect loss or losses caused by using SMTPBox outside its documented testing purpose.
10. Changes and contact
We may revise these terms and will publish the updated version and date here. Questions can be sent to legal@smtpbox.dev.
